Nursery Class

We recognise that young children are very special people with unique personalities and individual needs. We focus largely on the development of social skills, encourage curiosity for further learning and give the crucial skills for further educational experiences. Here the children learn to share, express themselves in a group situation, listen to the teachers and the peers, and ask questions. This way they become active and independent learners.

The Nursery class has a large, bright room which provides a wide collection of opportunities for young children to explore investigate and learn in a safe, stimulating place.

The room is divided into different areas. These are: the home-role play corner, the nature area, quiet reading corner, the discovery area and the arts and crafts corner. This promotes independent learning, social skills and personal development.

We take account of the physical developmental needs of a young child through using the indoor and outdoor environment. We are particularly happy to use the nearby forest that provides endless learning opportunities as well as the green house and the garden where the children can grow some herbs, berries and vegetables.

Children may attend for either half days or full days. For those who need a day time sleep, there is a separate quiet room where they can slumber in peace.
